We’re taking the show on the road, going on a two-week tour of Florida starting January 14 and going through January 28. We’ll be playing in some of Florida’s best blues clubs from New Smyrna Beach to Key Largo on the Atlantic coast and Englewood to Marco Island on the Gulf coast. On the way down to Florida, we’ll be stopping in clubs in Washington DC, Baltimore, and Richmond. We’ll be playing all your favorites from our first four CDs plus some new tunes on our upcoming fifth CD.

We are delighted to be returning to one of our favorite music venues in the Hudson Valley this New Year’s Eve, The Towne Crier Cafe in Beacon. We’ll be joined by Sari Schorr and her band delivering their high energy blues-rock sound. The chefs in the kitchen are planning a memorable New Year’s Eve feast buffet, including a variety of appetizers and entrees, capped off by dessert — sumptuous chocolate truffles, petit fours and fresh fruit. The band has just returned from a successful short tour of Europe, with a live DVD of their Switzerland performance coming later this year. Below is a clip from Switzerland to whet your appetite for their upcoming gig at The Falcon on Thursday, April 3rd. It’s an early show, with the music starting around 7pm, so make your dinner reservations and come hear the band’s latest tunes and tales.

We’ll be playing a set this Thursday at the Hurricane Sandy Relief Benefit Concert being held right here in the Hudson Valley at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY! This is a fundraiser for the Red Cross, with 100% of the ticket sales ($20 per person) going to support the relief efforts. Many other great musicians will be performing, the event starts at 5pm, so come on out and help us to raise money for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. We’ll be hitting the road this weekend for shows in Delaware and Washington, DC. On Friday night, join us at Bethany Blues BBQ in Lewes, Delaware (near Rehoboth Beach) for some barbeque and blues. Saturday we head inland to perform at the world famous Madam’s Organ Blues Bar and Soul Food Restaurant, in the heart of Adams Morgan in downtown DC. Details are on our website calendar. The Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center has opened an after hours event to their fundraiser this Saturday, November 3rd. This event takes place at Anthony’s Pier 9. It is a great opportunity to listen to The Chris O’Leary Band and support a great cause. Looking for an early evening, art and live blues? Come hear the band play outdoors in the sculpture garden at Vassar College’s art museum (just inside the front gates of the campus), right after you take a half-hour tour of the newly-designed sculpture garden at 7pm. Light refreshments will be served.
Can’t get to Poughkeepsie till later in the evening for your blues fix, or have tickets to a play the Vassar Powerhouse? Swing on over to the BeechTree Grill on Collegeview Ave. at the north end of Vassar’s campus from 10pm onwards to hear the band tearing it up in this popular local dining and drinking establishment.
They’re sure to be playing many of the songs from their just-released second CD, plus all your old favorites. We’ll see you there!
