“.…How a Shuffle Should Be Played” Levon Helm
I was just listening to a live recording of us playing at The Midnight Ramble and thinking of Sean .. After we finished our set I went back to talk with Levon .. The first thing he said was ” now that’s how a shuffle should be played”. … Chris O’Leary

Remembering Sean “Minnow” McCarthy
I remember getting a phone call from Sean some years back.He said that both him and O’Leary want to get back in to playing again and they would like me in the band.I was thrilled.Who would of thought 8 years later we would have 2 cd’s,played at the BMA’s,nominated for “Best New Artist”,won “Best New Artist” at the Blues Blast Awards, played major blues festivals in the USA and Europe. Thanks to Sean the COB band continues to rock on!
Check out this song Sean played on called “Salt Flats Boogie” named after O’Leary and Sean’s love for cars.

The Chris O’Leary Band mourns the loss of drummer Sean McCarthy
I lost my drummer, bandmate, and lifelong friend today, Sean McCarthy . My thoughts and prayers go out to Willa, his beautiful children, and the rest of his family. We traveled a lot of miles together, and like a brother, he was always there for me.
Rest easy Sean
I will miss you .…
Chris O’Leary
We will all miss you and you will always be in our thoughts.
